Every now and then, you may have to straighten out an image that appears to be crooked. There are a number of ways you can do this. You can, for example, use the Crop or the Rotate tool. However, the fastest and most accurate tool is the Ruler tool. First, select the Ruler tool from the Tools panel. Then, within your image, drag the pointer along a line that you want to be straight.
Next, choose Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary. When the Rotate Canvas dialog box opens, leave the option values set as they are, and then click OK. Photoshop automatically rotates the canvas for you, aligning your image with the line you drew with the tool.
