Change a font to bold when a bold style doesn’t exist in Photoshop

Sometimes an installed font doesn’t have a bold style of
its normal face. Perhaps it wasn’t designed with one or
it simply wasn’t purchased with the main font. A simple
workaround is to use the Faux Bold option in the Character panel. To use the option, first choose the Horizontal Type tool from the Tools panel, and highlight the text you want to change. Next, click the Faux Bold button located at the bottom-left of the Character panel. Your text takes on a bold appearance, which can be removed by click the Faux button again.
